Bob Ross Painting Workshop

Learn Bob’s signature “wet-on-wet” technique from an experienced Certified Ross Instructor® and paint in the building where The Joy of Painting was filmed! Just bring yourself, and we will provide everything you need to have a wonderful time. Just like Bob said, “Let’s get crazy!”

This workshop is held in the Bob Ross Experience studio, which is only accessible by stairs. Painting workshops are open to participants ages 14 and up. Preregistration is strongly preferred; limited walk-in tickets may be available—please call ahead.

Every Third Thursday, MadJax Maker Force and the Muncie Makers Market partner to transform the building into an indoor Night Market experience. To shape the experience each month, The Night Market is layered with a rotating hands-on creative activity, a new exhibition opening in the Toolsong Gallery, and a live music performance to enhance your evening of shopping with our local Artisans. No two nights look exactly the same, and each one offers an easy, welcoming way to explore, make, and connect.

While you’re here to Sip & Shop, have an adventure ​w​ith MadJax tours and jump into Drop-In Creative Corner, a relaxed Thursday evening hang where makers of all skill levels gather to craft, tinker, and create together. Guests are invited to wander the fascinating former factory that houses MadJax, meet local Makers, Sip & Shop, catch live music, and take in new artwork. I am a B2B Tech Stack Strategist who specializes in integrating marketing and sales systems to drive efficiency and growth. For over a decade, I’ve focused on the hard part: translating go-to-market strategies into the real-world processes and technology that allow businesses to scale without the grueling hours of human intervention. I fix the messy, disconnected systems that kill productivity and obscure the data you need to make sound decisions.

I live in a home on a brick street in Old Town Noblesville that is over 160 years old and sits within a National Historic District. My wife and I love anything historic or antique; exploring historic towns and areas, antique stores and supporting their small businesses. I’m a community advocate and love to support and volunteer for organizations and events that make our downtown the unique place it is. I’m a sports junky and have newly been enthralled by the Darts World Championship. I enjoy craft beer, even though my wife thinks it all tastes like “rubber tires”, and local coffee shops if they have a good dark roast.

Students will learn how to create a classic Coptic-bound book by sewing together folded booklets (called signatures) to form a beautiful exposed spine that allows pages to lay perfectly flat. We'll also give you a tour of the campus and classrooms so you know exactly where you're going, and we'll help you set up your new laptop. We try to have some fun, too!

Opened in 2014, the Ross Medical Education Center Muncie campus is located on the north side of the city, just a few minutes from I-35 and directly across from the Muncie/Delaware County Airport. The campus is conveniently situated on the North Walnut bus route for the city's transit system.

This Preview Party will kick off Art in Bloom weekend, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations inspired by works of art in the galleries!

(On May 16 and May 17 from 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, guided tours, music, and activities for all ages.)

There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking at non-metered spots on the Quad Circle is also free.
