Eggcellent Adventure

Join us for an Eggcellent Adventure as we learn about the different parts of an egg, observe the developmental stages of an embryo, and learn how to care for baby chicks after they hatch!! This 4 week educational program begins on Tuesday, March 11 from 11am- 1pm. Each week will include a lesson and activities provided by a 4-H Youth Extension Educator as well as time to explore the museum exhibits. This program is included with museum admission or free for Muncie Children’s Museum Members. Registration is required to participate and limited spots are available. Take a midday break with Dr. George Wolfe, professor emeritus, to experience meditation at the David Owsley Museum of Art. This event is free and open to the public with no registration required.

Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to the Muncie Children’s Museum for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12th from 6-8pm! Join us for an evening of fun-filled activities including an indoor egg hunt, a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, crafts, snacks and prizes. Child admission is $10 each for members, $15 each for non-members, and $5 each for for Access for All. Accompanying adults are free. Registration is required and space is limited. Breaking the boundaries of what is deemed traditional Indigenous art, Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass examines how Native artists reinterpret cultural narratives and designs. The two-pronged exhibition focuses on how Native artists have melded ancestral ways with new methods and materials, while also examining the historical narrative of how glass art came to Indian Country from a historical perspective. Visitors will be wowed by over 100 glass art objects created by contemporary Native American and Indigenous Pacific-Rim artists.

Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass was originated by The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The traveling exhibit was curated by Dr. Letitia Chambers and is toured by International Arts & Artists.
