Visit the David Owsley Museum of Art on May 16 and 17 for Art in Bloom, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations inspired by works of art in the galleries!

From 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, docent-led tours, music, and activities for all ages. 

(An evening reception from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, May 15, will offer music, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash [only] bar.)

There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking at non-metered spots on the Quad Circle is also free.

Dawn currently works in front-of-house operations and marketing/PR for multiple hospitality venues while continuing to support regional storytelling through press outreach, branding, and content development. Known for her practical approach and engaging style, she helps organizations turn everyday updates into meaningful stories that connect with their communities.

Calling all aspiring chefs! This fun and interactive camp introduces participants to the fundamentals of the kitchen—from basic prep to hands-on cooking. Each day offers new culinary adventures designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and inspire a lifelong love of cooking.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll craft a copper or brass pendant using Precious Metal Clay (PMC)—a moldable clay made of real metal particles that transform into solid metal when kiln-fired. Learn how to cut, texture, and layer your piece while working with the clay in both its wet and green (dry) stages. Finished pendants will be kiln-fired by the instructor and ready to pick up the following week.

All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided; please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. Preregistration is preferred; limited walk-in tickets may be available—please call ahead.
