The Amazing Elf Adventure (AEA) is a holiday fun house that invites your family to participate in a scavenger hunt filled with activities and tasks to see if you have what it takes to become one of Santa’s newest elves.

Admission to Amazing Elf Adventure is $6 for non-members and $4 for MCM members. For non-member families visiting both Amazing Elf Adventure and the museum exhibit floor, admission is $12. Tickets can be purchased at MCM’s front desk.

Join us on Saturday, December 21st, for a Holiday and Culture Events Fair at the Muncie Children’s Museum!

Children are invited to learn about different holiday events celebrated around the world as they complete their very own Holiday Passport. ‘Travel the world’ with fun and educational activities, crafts and games along the way. Once completed, children can show their Holiday Passport to staff at the front desk to receive a prize. 

Other activities include: 
-Ugly Sweater Contest
-Cookie Decorating (while supplies last)
-Holiday Craft, 
-Creative writing station
-And so much more!

Celebrate the New Year at the Muncie Children's Museum with a family-friendly NYE Bash! Join us on Tuesday, December 31, from 1pm-4:30pm for fun activities, crafts, snacks and a balloon drop! All activities are included with museum admission ($8) and free for MCM Members.

Start your year off right!
Join us for a Free Health Fair at the Muncie Children’s Museum on Saturday, January 25, from 10am to 3pm. Ball State University COH Interprofessional Community Clinic and ECI-AHEC will provide engaging activities, health and wellness screenings and community resources for museum guests. Admission to the museum is free from 10am-5pm. Stop by for a fun-filled day for the entire family!

Stuffie Clinic at MCM

Going to the doctor can be scary for children, especially if they don’t know what to expect. Ball State University Child Life Students will be joining us on February 22nd, from 1-4pm, for a Stuffie Clinic to help promote positive interactions and teach coping strategies for when medical care is needed. Using a stuffed animal as a patient, children will have the opportunity to explore and play with medical equipment and tools doctors use and talk about what they do in a language children can understand. Children will receive a free stuffed animal donated by PetSmart- Anderson and Muncie (whiles supplies last). This free community event is sponsored by Knights of Columbus-Muncie. Museum admission is FREE all day.

Giveaway: Stuffie Clinic guests will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing where TWO winners will receive a 1 year family membership to the Muncie Children's Museum (current members excluded).

Eggcellent Adventure

Join us for an Eggcellent Adventure as we learn about the different parts of an egg, observe the developmental stages of an embryo, and learn how to care for baby chicks after they hatch!! This 4 week educational program begins on Tuesday, March 11 from 11am- 1pm. Each week will include a lesson and activities provided by a 4-H Youth Extension Educator as well as time to explore the museum exhibits. This program is included with museum admission or free for Muncie Children’s Museum Members. Registration is required to participate and limited spots are available. Admission to the Muncie Children’s Museum is FREE to all guests on Saturday, March 15, thanks to our free day sponsor, JarKids! Come explore the museum exhibits and enjoy a fun craft provided by Jarkids! Volunteers from JarKids, will also be passing out bags of school supplies to children.

A representative for On My Way Pre-K will be there to provide information and to sign up qualifying families.

Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to the Muncie Children’s Museum for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12th from 6-8pm! Join us for an evening of fun-filled activities including an indoor egg hunt, a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, crafts, snacks and prizes. Child admission is $10 each for members, $15 each for non-members, and $5 each for for Access for All. Accompanying adults are free. Registration is required and space is limited.
