Are you looking for something fun to do with your family this Spring Break? Join us for an exciting week of activities as we explore our creative side! Children will have the opportunity to assist in the making of a hanging art piece to be displayed at the Muncie Children’s Museum, enjoy a hands-on (and tasty) activity as they learn about color theory, and participate in a mural scavenger hunt!

Spring Break activities will be offered in two sessions: March 26-28 and April 2-4. Activities are included with museum admission and free for MCM members.

Eggcellent Adventure

Join us for an Eggcellent Adventure as we learn about the different parts of an egg, observe the developmental stages of an embryo, and learn how to care for baby chicks after they hatch!! This 4 week educational program begins on Tuesday, March 11 from 11am- 1pm. Each week will include a lesson and activities provided by a 4-H Youth Extension Educator as well as time to explore the museum exhibits. This program is included with museum admission or free for Muncie Children’s Museum Members. Registration is required to participate and limited spots are available. Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to the Muncie Children’s Museum for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12th from 6-8pm! Join us for an evening of fun-filled activities including an indoor egg hunt, a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, crafts, snacks and prizes. Child admission is $10 each for members, $15 each for non-members, and $5 each for for Access for All. Accompanying adults are free. Registration is required and space is limited. Admission to the Muncie Children’s Museum is FREE to all guests on Saturday, April 19, from 10am to 5pm thanks to our free day sponsor, Behavior Associates of Indiana, in honor of Autism Awareness Month! Come explore the museum exhibits for a fun, family-friendly day at MCM!

Reptiles and Amphibians

Join us at the "BSU Nature Lab" on Wednesday, June 18th, at 10am for “Reptiles and Amphibian”. Erica, from the BSU Environmental Education Center, will be talking about reptiles and amphibians native to Indiana. Families will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Beaker, the turtle, and observe salamanders and frogs. Children can also explore the Nature Lab and participate in an activity. PARKING: Please park in the lot to the left as you pull in (near the Fire Station/Tillotson Ave) and not in the lot in front/to the right of the BSU Nature Lab.

This program is part of our More to Explore in Muncie FREE summer program offered weekly by Muncie Children’s Museum. Each week Muncie Children’s Museum will meet at various locations throughout the Muncie community to offer family-friendly activities. Each time your family attends a More to Explore in Muncie nature program, your family will be entered into a drawing to win a one year Family Membership to the Muncie Children’s Museum to be given away at the end of the summer program.

Summer Splash Bash @ MCM

Grandparent's Day at MCM

Grandparent's Day is Sunday, September 7th, and we want to help you celebrate! Bring your grandparents (or someone "grand" in your life) to the Muncie Children's Museum from 1-5pm for a day of memories and fun!

Enjoy a group photo, a make and take photo frame and FREE admission for two Grandparents or "Grand" Guests (grandparent-like guests) for each paid family or MCM members.

Join us on October 8th, 9th and 10th as we learn about different careers during Muncie Children’s Museum’s Fall Break program, Career Exploration! Each session will include a career themed book reading followed by a hands-on activity. Sessions will be offered at 11am and 3:30pm each day. Muncie Children’s Museum DOES offer same day re-entry, allowing for guests to leave after the first session and return for the second session. Career Exploration is included with museum admission (including MCM Access for All) and free for Muncie Children’s Museum members.

Explore careers from “A-Z” at Muncie Children’s Museum’s Career Day & Touch-A-Truck event on Sunday, October 12th, from 1pm-4pm!
