Enjoy refreshments, music, hands-on activities for all ages and holiday cheer on the Ball State Cultural Corridor! Follow the jingle bells and luminaries between the Greenhouse, Center for Glass, Planetarium and Museum of Art.

The evening will feature:

Holiday Open House at the David Owsley Museum of Art, with live music, children's art and activities and a pop-up shop hosted by the Book Arts Collaborative.

Holiday in Bloom at the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse - Ball State University, featuring live performances by the Hillcroft Handbell Choir and Sedoctave Acapella Group, a poinsettia give-away and a special children's activity.

Charles W. Brown Planetarium at Ball State University Holiday Program, providing two showings of “The Christmas Star” planetarium show at 6:30 p.m. or 8 p.m.

Holiday Open House at the Marilyn K. Glick Center For Glass of the Ball State University School of Art, with glassblowing demonstrations and the Glass Guild Holiday Sale.

If you are attending the Enchanted Luminaria at Minnetrista, a Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) Trolley service will be available from 6-9:30 p.m. with drop-off/pick-up locations on University Ave. at the Greenhouse/Glick Center and Minnetrista.

Weekend parking is free on campus and available off of University and Riverside avenues. There is no cost to attend any of the Ball State participating sites.

As the holidays approach, join Minnetrista curator, Jessica Jenkins, to explore some of the ways the Ball family and Ball Brothers Company celebrated the holiday season.  In addition to their own family gatherings, in 1925, the Ball Brothers went out of their way to pass on a little holiday cheer to their employees.  Hoping to make each feel like part of the company family, a special edition of Charles Dickens' famous work, A Christmas Carol, was designed and given to each employee.  Come bask in the holiday spirit and hear the story of how this one of a kind gift came to be

Come get your holiday gift shopping finished! Over twenty local Growers and Makers - all selling homemade and handmade creations from the Muncie Makers Market - will be at our Last-Minute Holiday Gift Market on Saturday the 21st, from 4-7p. It’s time, Muncie! 🎁 The 2022 HOLIDAY GIFT MARKET, presented by the Muncie Makers Market, is kicking off the Winter shopping season and we invite you to celebrate with us! The next BIG event for the Muncie Makers Market is the Holiday Gift Market coming up SOON on December 1st, during December’s First Thursday, from 5-8p. There will be fun events all over Downtown Muncie that evening which are sponsored by the Muncie Downtown Development Partnership, and we are excited to be at the heart of it all! Every December’s First Thursday is branded as Light Up DWNTWN and we intend to show up BRIGHT and MERRY!

The Holiday Gift Market showcases local business and will feature a HUGE set-up with over FIFTY Vendors, all with handmade creations, homemade goodies, locally grown plants, and SO MUCH MORE! We’ll even have Gift Wrapping available from the Community of Hope fundraiser!
