IPR's 10th annual beer tasting is Sept. 24 at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.

Join us on Saturday, September 24 at Cornerstone Center for the Arts for ALL BEERS CONSIDERED — this community’s premiere craft beer tasting.

The event includes 20 craft beers expertly chosen by The Fickle Peach, artisan snacks created by The Downtown Farm Stand, silent auction, lively music from a local band, a kitschy photo booth, and a souvenir glass!

Proceeds benefit Indiana Public Radio. Must be 21 with I.D.

Pints & Paints is a unique painting experience held at The Fickle Peach in Downtown Muncie. Attendees enjoy two hours of creating a unique featured painting at each workshop. The workshop is for ages 21 and up and includes one drink in the $25 registration fee. Photos of upcoming paintings are available on Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ Facebook page.

The second annual Hops & Props will take place on Saturday, September 30th from 5pm – 8pm.

This adult-only event is the perfect chance for you to enjoy a girl’s night out, a first date, or just an evening without the kids! At Hops & Props, you can explore the museum after hours, try local craft beers, build your very own model airplane, and more!

This is a 21+ only event. IDs are required.

This year, tickets start at $10 per person, which grants you entrance to the museum, a model airplane workshop, and a voucher for one beer.

Additional ticketing options will become available closer to the event date.

Drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and food will be available for purchase onsite.

In this workshop, we'll be making a holiday décor piece centered around an arrangement of origami fir trees. You will learn how to fold your own wonderful little fir trees and arrange them in a glass jar with different colored and textured materials to simulate the ground, the grass, and the snow. A focus on design keeps this project classy and challenges participants to look at how color, texture, size, and arrangement can change a simple craft into an elegant, decorative piece. After this workshop, you will also be able to easily and quickly fold a fir tree out of almost any kind and size of square paper. These are great to use as easy holiday décor or as embellishments on holiday packages. They are also addictive to make and quite fun to teach to your family and friends. 

This workshop will be at Guardian Brewing Co, located at Madjax 514 E Jackson Street. The workshop is $20 per person to attend and includes one free drink. This workshop is open to ages 21 and up.

Magic City Sip & Savor will take place on Saturday, April 4, from 2–5 p.m., bringing together craft beverages, culinary creativity, live music, and local makers for an afternoon-long celebration of DWNTWN Muncie’s vibrant culture.

The event is 21+.

Hosted at MadJax, Sip & Savor will feature a wide selection of craft beer, wine, distilled spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, and curated food offerings, alongside live performances, artist demonstrations, and interactive experiences throughout the venue.

Attendees will enjoy savory treats created by students from Ball State University’s Hospitality Innovation and Leadership program and Ivy Tech Community College’s School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, showcasing innovative flavors and culinary talent from the region’s next generation of hospitality professionals.
