Cost: $22 per ornament, up to two ornaments per registrant

Join us to create an original glass ornament to celebrate the season! Attendees will select their desired shape and then use small pieces of vibrant glass to add color and design. No glass cutting is required, and pieces will be fired and ready for pickup a week after the program. Minnetrista’s talented glass artisan will be on hand to assist and answer any questions making this a great experience for artists of any skill level.

All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided. Glass Workshops are 13 & up unless otherwise noted.

Leave the mess to Minnetrista when you join us for a fun afternoon of creativity with your family building and decorating your very own gingerbread house! We will provide gingerbread, icing, and a wide variety of beautiful treats to decorate your creation. Cocoa and cookies will be served to all guests, and Gingy, the gingerbread man, will make an appearance to help get you in the holiday spirit.

Join DOMA docent and education intern Mya Whitis for a tour of selected paintings - from 18th century Europe to 20th century America - that explore moments preceding catastrophes. Meet in the Sculpture Court at 2:30 p.m. This tour is free and open to the public with no registration required.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is open to students in grades 6 - 8 ONLY.

Join Associate Professor Dr. Michael Prater of the Ball State Art Education program and use the Beyond the Medici exhibition as inspiration to learn drawing techniques and create allegorical portraits. This event is free but space is limited and registration by February 21 is required.

Ball State faculty, area schoolteachers, and DOMA Friends are invited to enjoy a tour of the special exhibition Beyond the Medici: The Haukohl Family Collection. Dr. Robert La France, DOMA director, will guide visitors through the show and discuss educational opportunities provided by the exhibition.

Join a generative writing workshop at the David Owsley Museum of Art inspired by the Beyond the Medici exhibition. Ball State creative writers will offer a series of prompts to spark ideas and explore the longstanding relationship between text and image. Participants will be invited to share their work during a poetry reading and musical concert on Thursday, April 11.

This workshop is free but space is limited and registration by March 20 is required.
