Paint with a Certified Ross Instructor on the site where Bob painted for years. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to get creative and learn the process of painting in Bob Ross’ signature style. Just bring yourself, and we will provide everything you need to have a great time. Just like Bob said, “Let’s get crazy!”
Bob Ross Painting Workshops are 14 & up unless otherwise noted. All supplies are included. Everyone in attendance must be registered for the workshop, and The Bob Ross Experience ticket is not included. This workshop space is only accessible via a staircase. Ball State creative writers will offer a series of prompts to spark ideas and explore the longstanding relationship between text and image. Participants will be invited to share their work during a poetry reading and musical concert on Thursday, April 11.
This workshop is free but space is limited and registration by March 20 is required.

Cost: $10 general public (free for Ball State students) The Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra will perform “Music at the House of the Medici” in Sursa Hall at 7:30 pm. The performance is in conjunction with the spring special exhibition Beyond the Medici celebrating Italian Baroque art at the David Owsley Museum of Art. IBO's mission is to perform and promote music of the 17th and 18th centuries using period instruments and historically informed performance practices. “Music at the House of the Medici” will celebrate the sounds of Florence, Italy, in the 17th and early 18th centuries.
DOMA (2021 W. Riverside Ave) will remain open from 5-7 p.m. on March 28 so visitors can enjoy a free public reception and view the exhibition prior to the 7:30 p.m. performance at Sursa Hall (1809 W. Riverside Avenue). Ticket holders are also invited to a pre-concert chat by Dr. Murray Steib, professor of music history at Ball State, at 6:45 p.m. in Sursa Hall. Beyond the Medici and “Music at the House of the Medici” are made possible by Ball State’s Arts Alive Series, presented by the University’s College of Fine Arts.

Visit the David Owsley Museum of Art on May 18 and 19 for Art in Bloom, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations by regional designers inspired by works of art in the galleries!
From 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, docent-led tours, music, and activities for all ages. An evening reception from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, May 18, will offer jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash (only) bar.
There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking on the Quad Circle is also free.

Ages: 16+ Discover your inner Mother Nature and learn how to create a lovely and realistic crepe paper poppy to take home! Learn techniques from local artist Jeanne Zeigler with all supplies provided. The two workshops - part of Art in Bloom weekend - are free of charge but space is limited and registration is required.
