Tea & Talk: Building Experiences You Didn’t Know You Wanted—The Artist’s Perspective

What does it take to bring a fully immersive art experience to life? Local artist Carrie Wright offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at creating a large-scale contemporary installation of seven hand painted silk panel rooms, sharing the high-stakes balancing act of logistics, innovation, and stewardship. Enjoy light refreshments as you explore the realities of bringing ambitious creative visions to life. From navigating unfamiliar infrastructure to carrying the responsibility of introducing a city to total immersion, this talk explores the unique pressures and rewards of a professional artist’s journey. Preregistration is preferred; limited walk-in tickets may be available—please call ahead.

Student Orientation Session for incoming students: We will review all the essential information to ensure a successful start, including Academic policies, Attendance requirements, Dress Code and our digital Learning Management System. You will also get a guided tour of the campus and classrooms to help you find your way around, alongside dedicated support to set up your new laptop. We look forward to sharing some fun moments together as well!
Opened in 2014, the Ross Medical Education Center Muncie campus is located on the north side of the city, just a few minutes from I-35 and directly across from the Muncie/Delaware County Airport. The campus is conveniently situated on the North Walnut bus route for the city's transit system.

Join us for another stroll around campus and learn some of the hidden history of Ball State. This year we’ll be walking a different route from the previous years with new people and places to commemorate. You’ll learn about past presidents, performers, protests, pageants, and more. We’ll be serving up storytelling, some door prizes, and popsicles to keep cool. (The tour lasts about 45 minutes, weather permitting).
Parking is free in the yellow and green lots after 5pm. All ages welcome!
