When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people.

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Our activity this month will be creating protest signs! 

Are you sick and tired of SCOTUS taking away our reproductive and voting rights and their support of the MAGA agenda? July's craftivism will focus on expressing our feelings in writing to SCOTUS to both the bad actors and the three who work tirelessly to protect us. We'll provide the postcards, you provide the creativity!

For August we are going to try our hand at gel printing on postcards! We'll turn them into notes of support for detainees at Miami Correctional Facility. No experience needed, we'll walk you through the process. We'll also have supplies on hand! Come make something beautiful that'll support our neighbors!

For September we will create a collage on democracy and protest! Bring images, words, fabric scraps, whatever speaks to you! We'll also have supplies on hand, so if you don't have any, no worries! Each piece will become part of one larger collage that we'll display in a public space, so everyone's contribution literally becomes part of something bigger. No art skills needed. Just bring yourself (or a friend too)!

For October we will create headstones for a statewide die-in at the Indiana State Capitol later in the month! We will have poster board, paint, markers, and templates to make headstones for the event. We will prep headstones and signs for ourselves and others who join us in Indy. No art skills needed. Just bring yourself (or a friend too)!

For November we're making luminaries! Bring an empty tin can (soup/vegetable cans work great) and we'll show you how to turn it into a luminary. We'll also have supplies on hand for punching designs and adding the candles, so if you don't have a can, no worries, we'll have extras. No art skills needed. Just bring yourself (or a friend too)!

oin Muncie Resists as we wrap up the year in community and gratitude! Our annual Holiday Party is an open house and carry-in gathering — a chance to connect, celebrate, and give back together. Bring a favorite dish to share and enjoy good company, conversation, and cheer.

This year, we’re also collecting donations for the Buley Center – Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie (details on what they need most will be sent out once you register).
