The Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) is offering a free Ask the Experts Seminar to help those with retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinitis pigmentosa better understand these diseases and provide access to information and resources related to living with vision loss. The seminar will address disease inheritance, other risk factors, advances in overcoming these diseases, and related topics.

Her Story: Mapping Indiana Women's History

This program will tell the story of women in Indiana’s bicentennial history using maps from the Ball State University Libraries’ GIS Research and Map Collection. The maps will highlight important women in the state’s history with a special emphasis on east central Indiana and issues affecting education, employment equality, women in government and leadership, sports, and healthcare issues. Historic photographs and diaries from the Library’s Digital Media Repository will also be included.
This workshop is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is recommended and available here.

The 10th annual Living Lightly Fair is a FREE, family-friendly celebration of sustainable living. Learn from speakers, check out gifts and eco-conscious products from 40+ green marketplace vendors, drop off expired medication, tour the MLK Freedom Bus, add a piece to a community bottle cap mural, test-drive a hybrid car, and much more. Kids can read to a shelter pet, sculpt a clay bat or butterfly, create an upcycled herb planter, and add a piece to a community bottle cap mural.
