DWNTWN is gearing up for its 15th annual Muncie Gras celebration. The party will take place in the streets of downtown Muncie on Saturday, March 25th, from 6 p.m. to 2a.m.  Locals, visitors and students ages 21 and older are welcome to join in the New Orleans-style festivities!

This year offers a musical line up that is not to be missed.  The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band will headline the BudLight Stage. Jennie Devoe, Mike Martin and the Beautiful Mess, Losing September, Glostick Willy and The Bathsalt Zombies will round out this eclectic stage.  Something for everyone!

The ever popular mechanical bull and the Budweiser go-go cage are back! Other active entertainment includes: Oxygen Bars, Hippo Chowdown, Giant Twister Board, Dizzy X, Vortex, Bouncing Ponies and Track.

Our two giant heated tents will house the Illuminate EDM dance party and The Fabulous Funcie Femmes and Friends Burlesque Show.

Party Headphones brings a "Silent Disco" for a new kind of fun! You are handed a pair of headphones and what appeared to be a crowd dancing to silence, becomes a full sensory audio experience!

Inside The Mark III Taproom will be the hosts for fabulous Drag Shows and Male Go-Go Dancers.

Multiple outdoor bars and food vendors will keep the libations flowing and munchies available throughout the night.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.

The MITS trolley and buses will provide a safe ride home, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. with routes to the Ball State campus and Lyndenbrook area hotels.

Check www.downtownmuncie.org or our Muncie Gras Facebook page beginning March 1st for entertainment updates and schedules and MITS Trolley routes.

To keep up with the latest developments on the celebration, follow Muncie Gras on Twitter, @MuncieGras or facebook@munciegras.   BudLight Muncie Gras is produced by Muncie Downtown Development Partnership and sponsored by Woof Boom Radio.

  • Free Music Mondays w/ The Matchsellers, Rod Hamdallah 8pm @ Be Here Now 505 N. Dill St.

Mondays rule at the Be Here Now!!!
Check out these NATIONAL touring acts on the road between bigger markets... yes, we're bringing great acts to Muncie and helping keep them on the road! You can help us help them help you continue to have this awesome night in fair Muncie by coming out to show your support, inviting (or dragging!) a friend or two along, and generally being the awesome person that you are! We've got great drink specials to boot!

The Matchsllers are a bluegrass duo out of Kansas City, Missouri. Their latest album, "Bluegrastronauts", has been featured on NPR's Mountain Stage Radio Show.

Rod Hamdallah's musical elements are rooted in Blues, Garage Rock and Early Country. Low-fidelity, dark storytelling and American Roots Music play a big part in the songwriting. He creates a sound that can be likened to artists such as The Flat Duo Jets and The Black Keys.
