This Hoosier project is based on the historical Chitlin Circuit that sprouted during the period of Jim Crow segregation. African American performers weren’t allowed to share a stage with white performers, so a network of live entertainment venues in the US emerged that catered to black audiences and black entertainers. The PuICC facilitates and shares the pride and verve of the historical entertainers that burgeoned (bur-jn) African American entertainment throughout America.

With the PuICC, three poets collaborate, creating an atmosphere of artistic excitement, all three sharing the mic, taking turns reading a piece of poetry inspired by the last piece of poetry read. Each poet feeds off the other, not knowing what to read until that VERY moment. This magical round-robin of sorts goes on for about 20 minutes. We will take a small break and then each poet gets a solo set of about 10 minutes. As a group each, our poets read a poem by lucille clifton – line by line.

This is unlike any poetry event you have been a part of and it is likely VERY different than what you’ve seen or been audience to! We are excited for you to experience this with our very own Indiana State Poet Laureate, Curtis L. Crisler, and two of our local poets, Cuplets Host, Abigayle Devendorf, and Gayle Radwick!

Join us for a breathtaking spectacle featuring the unparalleled talents of the Cirque Musica ensemble. The Aerial Annex and Sinntertainment Productions have partnered to bring together a truly unique show.  Come be inspired by a variety of acts including aerialists, drag performers, burlesque dancers, belly dancing and more!! 

Travel down the rabbit hole MOMIX-style with Moses Pendleton's newest creation, ALICE, inspired by Alice in Wonderland. As Alice’s body grows and shrinks and grows again, Pendleton’s dancers extend themselves by means of props, ropes, and other dancers.

“I don’t intend to retell the whole Alice story” he says, “but to use it as a taking off point for invention. I’m curious to see what will emerge, and I’m getting curiouser and curiouser the more I learn about Lewis Carroll, who like me was a devoted photographer.”

The Alice story is full of imagery and absurd logic – before there was surrealism there was Alice. Alice is an invitation to invent, to let imagination run and play outside.

Buffalo Rose is a charismatic six-piece modern folk/Americana band from Pittsburgh, PA. They take the singer-songwriter tradition to a new level by crafting original songs which are emotive, meticulously arranged, and inspired by a world of idiosyncratic influences that never let a dull or predictable moment creep in.

The band's style has been compared to The Lumineers and First Aid Kit, and the band has shared stages with acts such as The Infamous Stringdusters, Pokey LaFarge, and Tyler Childers. Group members have also cited influences including Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the Punch Brothers, and Joni Mitchell.

Based on the beloved film, MRS. DOUBTFIRE tells the hysterical and heartfelt story of an out-of-work actor who will do anything for his kids. The Barefoot Movement integrates bluegrass, blues, folk, rock, country and pop into music that’s delightfully fresh. Shows feature original songs and reimagined cover tunes with tight three-part harmonies and hot instrumentals.
