This summer, the festival features School of Music faculty chamber ensembles in two concerts.The first concert will be held at the Minnetrista Cultural Center in Muncie, IN on May 22 at 11 a.m. The second concert will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Muncie, IN on June 1 at 3 p.m. Concerts are free and open to the public.

Campus and community singers come together to form the Ball State School of Music Summer Chorus. Andrew Crow leads the ensemble as it performs selections from the Broadway musicals of Stephen Schwartz. Free and open to the public.

Ball State’s Summer Concert Band and Summer Jazz Ensemble join forces to present traditional and contemporary works representing all musical periods and styles including classic hits of the big bands. Free and open to the public.

Campus and community singers come together to form the Ball State School of Music Summer Chorus. Andrew Crow leads the ensemble as it performs Music of the Bard - Shakespearean texts in music. Free and open to the public.

The School of Music presents a sampling of its wind, orchestral, jazz, and choral ensembles in a concert showcasing its exceptional students. All proceeds benefit student scholarships in the School of Music.

The School of Music voice faculty presents a Faculty Artist Recital featuring a wide range of solo and chamber music repertoire. All proceeds go toward the prize money for the 9th Annual Vocal Competition, to be held on April 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Sursa Hall.

Pianist Sean Chen, the 2013 DeHaan Classical Fellow of The American Pianists Association, recently won Third Prize at the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Recognized as a rising star, Chen has appeared as a soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra,Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra,,and the Juilliard Orchestra. Chen is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees, and is pursuing his artist diploma at the Yale School of Music.

New York City trumpeter Scott Wendholt joins the Ball State Jazz Ensembles for the first Art of Jazz Series concert of the season. Wendholt is on faculty at Manhattan School of Music and the Jamey Aebersold summer jazz camps, and has worked with artists such as Kenny Garrett, Cyrus Chestnut, Christian McBride, Don Braden and Bruce Barth. Mark Buselli directs the ensembles.

Andrew Crow and Kerry Glann lead the Ball State Chamber Choir and Concert Choir. The Chamber Choir is a prestigious ensemble comprised of approximately 36 singers, and performs throughout the country and around the world. The Concert Choir, a selective ensemble, performs accompanied and a cappella music representing a broad spectrum of history and regions.

The University Singers, also known as Indiana’s Official Goodwill Ambassadors, celebrates its 51st season this year under the direction of Alan Alder. The ensemble kicks off the season with its annual Fall Cabaret, an evening of family fun and entertainment with tunes you’ll be whistling on your way home.

The University Choral Union is a large and lively mixed choir comprised of approximately 100 students that performs a variety of literature, from multicultural pieces to show tunes. The Statesmen, an all-male vocal ensemble, seeks to promote camaraderie among its members and introduce them to the larger fraternity and tradition of men’s choruses around the nation and the world. The Women’s Chorus is Ball State’s only treble-voice ensemble and consists of approximately 70 singers.

The Campus Band and Campus Orchestra, two all-student ensembles, are led by doctoral and graduate student conductors.

The symphony orchestra and jazz ensembles come together to present a performance of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite paired with Duke Ellington's jazz adaptation in a "back and forth" concept.
