Cornerstone Center for the Arts is excited to present a rock musical like no other, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, on Saturday, February 25 at 9:30 p.m. The show will be at The Mark III Tap Room, 306 S Walnut St. in Downtown Muncie. The event is a fundraiser for Cornerstone’s low-cost quality arts programming for youth and adults. Additional support for the event comes from the Mark III Taproom and Wagglebottoms Kennel & Cattery. Admission is available for ages 21 and up only.

Come prepared to laugh as you hear the outrageous story of Hedwig, a genderqueer German singer, who received a botched sex-change operation and did it all for love. Zachary Allen, locally known for his performance as Dr. Frank N. Furter in Cornerstone’s annual production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, pushes gender boundaries – well, all boundaries - as Hedwig takes you on a musical journey through her life. Additional cast members include Haley Nicole Dillon, who plays Columbia in Cornerstone’s Rocky Horror shadow cast, and Blake Mellencamp.

The show will begin at 9:30 p.m. at The Mark III Taproom. Ten VIP tickets will be available for $25 in advance only. VIP ticketholders will have reserved seating in The Mark III’s VIP section with a dedicated server for the section. In addition, a limited amount of reserved seating tickets will be available for $15. General admission tickets will be available for $10 with seating first come, first serve the night of the event. Tickets are available in advance online at cornerstonearts.org, at Cornerstone’s second floor desk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by calling 765-289-9687. A limited number of general admission tickets will be available at the door the night of the event.

Proceeds from Hedwig will support Cornerstone’s mission to provide the community with quality arts programming for all. Cornerstone’s arts program serves thousands of people each year, many of which who receive some form of financial aid or discount, with life enhancing arts education.
