Red-tail Land Conservancy Wildflower Celebration
1pm to 4pm @
Phyllis and Frank Yuhas Woods
5965 W 400 South, Farmland, IN 47340
Spring is when a rainbow of wildflowers carpet the forest floor. See these fireworks of flowers on Sunday, May 4 from 1pm-4pm at Phyllis and Frank Yuhas Woods, a secluded nature preserve. The natural trails that wind through this mature forest will lead you beneath a towering canopy whose leaves are beginning to unfurl. Wildflowers of dazzling colors and shapes will inspire a joyous celebration of springtime to the tune of birdsong and frog calls.
At the Wildflower Celebration, you can wander the trails on your own and at your leisure between 1pm-4pm. Be sure to pick up our self-guided woodland scavenger hunt or drop in for some of our unguided child-friendly activities! Or, join two botanical experts on a guided wildflower tour offered at 1:30pm and 2:30pm.
Yuhas Woods is open to the public for less than 10 hours each year. This is a special chance to see a beautiful forest. You do not need to register for this event, just show up and prepare to be amazed!
