For this exciting Tea & Talk hors d’oeuvres and tea will be served in the newly opened Oakhurst home! Come for an opportunity to see the updates Minnetrista has made to the Oakhurst experience and get firsthand information from the team who worked on the project.

Most folks are familiar with the classic Brothers Grimm story, Little Red Riding Hood. Over the years there have been many reinterpretations of the beloved faerie tale. Minnetrista Theatre Preserves have developed a performance that attempts to understand, and harmonize the many different versions that have emerged from a variety of different cultures. Embarking on a journey to deliver canned goods to her grandmother’s house, Red meets a writer with a terrible case of writer’s block. Together the two of them explore the diverse interpretations of Little Red Riding Hood, including a brand new version set in space!

The production is inspired by the imagination of Elisabeth “Betty” Ball and her historic book collection. Throughout her life, she collected all sorts of different versions of faerie tales from different cultures. She even wrote her own faerie tales, poems, and plays. When you see our Little Red Riding Hood, we hope that you are inspired to make your own version or maybe you want to make a completely new story!

It’s a blast with glass! Each day is packed with exciting projects, which includes using real tools to design glass art. From torch flames to grinding, campers will try it all! For young artists 11–14 years old. Campers will need to bring their own lunch every day.

Explore the amazing art of glass through fun projects and activities. Campers will learn glass techniques and create their own masterpieces. For young artists 8-10 years old. Campers will need to bring their own lunch every day.

Join the Minnetrista Horticulture team for a special volunteer day to help maintain and further our lively gardens! Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge of the garden cultivation alongside helpful professionals. Whether cleaning and preparing soil for future seeds or digging and planting, there’s always plenty of work to be done!

Inviting our older faerie friends to join us for a week of enchanted excitement! During Faerie Ambassador, you’ll make new friends, partake in exciting activities, and receive a behind the scenes look at how Minnetrista welcomes the faeries every year. In addition to the daily activities and fun, each Faerie Ambassador will learn about the development and be a part of the production of Minnetrista’s Faeries, Sprites and Lights! Faerie Ambassadors will also operate as a full-fledged volunteer at one evening of the Faeries, Sprites, and Lights event. Faerie Ambassadors is for children ages 11–15.

Faerie Ambassadors is accepting applications through July 7, apply today to be considered!

Arts and crafts have never been so fun! Create a magical home for your faerie friends in an imaginative, family workshop. Brighten up your summer windows with a one-of-a-kind, stained glass sun-catcher! In this workshop you will choose from a variety of patterns and glass to create a fun and attractive beach themed sun catches. We’ll teach you how to cut, solder, and grind your very own, beautiful piece of art to display with pride. All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided.

Come learn about bee keeping, pollination, and the complicated lives of bees from guest presenters visiting from the Bastin Honey Bee Farm! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and tea while observing a demonstration hive in action.

Come together with friends and family for this free community event. Bring a picnic and some chairs and enjoy the sounds of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra at this end-of-summer celebration!

Create your very own glass pendant along with family and friends at Minnetrista. This workshop is open to beginner and intermediate glass artists alike. Equipped with a wide selection of unique colors to choose from, you will learn how to grind, and cut beautiful glass that you can take home and wear with pride.

Celebrate the significance of land and its importance in an art competition and exhibition with this special member opening.

In cooperation with Red-Tail Land Conservancy. A portion of the proceeds will go to help further its mission to preserve, protect, and restore natural areas and farm land in East Central Indiana while increasing awareness of our natural heritage.
