-Caas CarbyTHE MANTRAS (Jam Band, Progressive Rock, Fusion): The Mantras' music is a high-energy collaborative of funk-rock, electronica, metal, and fusion that will shake your knees and rattle your toes. Comprised of guitarist Keith Allen, drummer Justin Loew, keyboard player Justin W. Powell, bassist Brian Tyndall and percussionist Brent Vaughn; the band unified their musical vision in 2005 and has continued to hone their sonic direction and precision show by show. The Mantras continue to impress their peers and win over new fans at every turn with their instrumental prowess, solid lyrics, and unending drive to put on an amazing show every night!
Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the band has been playing to ever-increasing sold out crowds in their home state during 2011, and are experiencing rapid growth into new markets throughout the South, Midwest and North East. In 2011 alone, The Mantras and their members have shared the stage in double-bills and direct support with Umphrey's McGee, Eoto, George Clinton and P-Funk, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Papadosio, The Werks, Perpetual Groove, Zoogma, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, and many more.FRESH HOPS: (Progressive, Jam Band, Experimental) Fresh Hops is a 8-piece band from the Tri-Town Area of North West Indiana. After three years of being together, their sound continues to evolve, as the fans and family continue to grow. Fresh Hops has created a love for the "live" show, incorporating the concept of "having fun" as the main idea. Each show is different, consisting of a mixture of creative originals, and catchy/crafty instrumental cover songs. Fresh Hops puts the emphasis on real music while blending their influences into something brand new. The band celebrates the rich history of each instrument playing bluegrass/classical songs through the violin, classic soul/jazz with the tenor sax, and heavy metal with distorted guitars. Somewhere along the way all the elements combine to create a truly unforgettable experience.
GLOSTIK WILLY: (Funk driven Jams) "Glostik Willy is a diverse 3-piece band straight out of Indiana, making a statement on the scene. With Jameson Bradford on guitar, Buddha Aguilar on bass, and Ralf Mowf on drums, this band is unstoppable. This progressive infused funk rock band is sure to make heads turn everywhere they go.

Gwenifer Raymond at the Muncie Three Trails Music Series
7:00pm @
Cornerstone Center for the Arts
E.B. Ball Auditorium
520 E Main St. Muncie, IN 47305
The Muncie Three Trails Music Series is thrilled to present the 9th season in which the series presents critically acclaimed national recording artists in four FREE concerts at Canan Commons in Downtown Muncie. All shows begin at 7 PM and are all ages. And this season, we will also be presenting this special “Bonus” concert at Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Complete information on the series and all artists, including samples of their music, can be found at www.munciethreetrails.com.
On September 24th, the Muncie Three Trails series will present a special “bonus” fifth concert at Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ E.B. Ball Auditorium. This show will feature Wales- born and London-based solo acoustic guitarist Gwenifer Raymond. Raymond’s specific field of solo guitar is known as “American primitive,” a term coined by acoustic guitarist John Fahey in the late 50’s to describe his own music, intended to somehow convey an ineffable and ever-evolving amalgam of influences. For Gwenifer, this means she melds Appalachian folk, Southern pre-war country blues, Indian ragas and drone-based music, along with hints of vintage gothic horror films and a good dose of Welsh folkloric strangeness. The sound she makes is so cavernous, evocative and frenetic it seems as though at least two more guitarists must be hiding somewhere in the wings. Be prepared for a completely unique and spellbinding experience when Gwenifer Raymond takes the Cornerstone stage. Lonesome With Company will open the show.
The Muncie Three Trails Music Series is a non-profit partnership between Muncie Downtown Development Partnership, Muncie Arts and Culture Council, and Rick Zeigler, series founder and organizer. The mission of the series is to bring critically acclaimed, national recording artists to perform at Canan Commons, Muncie’s premier outdoor performance venue, located in the heart of Downtown Muncie. A second mission is to promote the many recreational, artistic, and cultural attractions located along, or in close proximity to, Canan Commons and Muncie’s popular “Three Trails” -- The White River Greenway, Cardinal Greenway, and Muncie Arts and Culture Trail. We hope attendees will heed our slogan, “Explore the Trails, Enjoy the Music".
