True West is a classic brother versus brother tale set against the backdrop of Hollywood glamour and quiet suburban life. Set in an outer Los Angeles suburb on the edge of the desert, True West focuses on the tense reunion of two brothers that are leading very different lives.

The oldest brother, Lee, a drinking, drifting thief is visiting his estranged brother Austin and is looking to go on a burglary spree. Austin, an aspiring Hollywood screenwriter, is housesitting for their mother who is away. Austin quickly finds Lee meddling with his next project - jeopardizing all that he has been working towards. As the play unfolds and the brothers learn about each other's lives, the audience is left wondering: which brother is Cain, and which is Abel?

  • Over the River and Through the Woods 7:30pm to 12:42pm @ Rose Court Building 125 E. Charles St.
    Cost: $13

Muncie Civic Theatre presents Over the River and Through the Woods in the atrium of The Rose Court Building December 7-9 and 14-16 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $13 for all ages. General Admission Seating.

Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey who sees his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. That is until he’s been offered a dream job in Seattle. This news doesn’t sit so well with his grandparents, and thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma pull out all of the stops, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely—and single—Caitlin O’Hare.

“A hilarious family comedy that is even funnier than his long-running musical revue I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. —BackStage. “Loaded with laughs every step of the way.” —Star-Ledger.
