In this four-hour workshop, students will choose their preferred medium--acrylic, oil, or watercolor--to bring a personal portrait to life. Using an 8x10 photo of a loved one, friend, or even a favorite pet, participants will learn foundational techniques for capturing likeness, expression, and detail.
Enjoy a relaxed, creative atmosphere, with a complimentary lunch included at no additional cost. Open to all skill levels.
Instructor: Ann Johnson is a dedicated painting instructor at the E.B. and Bertha C. Ball Center, where she shares her passion for art with students of all skill levels. With a strong background in fine arts and years of teaching experience, Ann specializes in helping individuals develop their creative voice while building solid technical foundations.

Enjoy refreshments while joining Director of Curation & Exhibition, Sebastián Encina, for a compelling look at 250 years of Hoosier history. Drawing from Minnetrista's dual America at 250 exhibitions, this talk explores East Central Indiana’s place within the broader story of the United States and how our region reflects the national narrative. Through stories of where we have been and where we are going, participants will gain a deeper understanding of our shared history and its lasting impact. Student Orientation Session for newly enrolled students: We'll cover everything you need to know for a great start, including Academics, Attendance, Dress Code, and our Learning Management System. We'll also give you a tour of the campus and classrooms so you know exactly where you're going, and we'll help you set up your new laptop. We try to have some fun, too!
Opened in 2014, the Ross Medical Education Center Muncie campus is located on the north side of the city, just a few minutes from I-35 and directly across from the Muncie/Delaware County Airport. The campus is conveniently situated on the North Walnut bus route for the city's transit system.

The Vore Arts Fund is a local 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to financially support the art community of Muncie and whose board meetings are open to the public.
Members of the public who are interested in the VAF are welcome to join us on Zoom and observe. At the end of the meeting, the board will invite questions and comments from guests.
